On the stage of digital competition, where every click is a gunshot and every millisecond lost can spell doom for an entire team, one role stands apart in its gravity and complexity: the in-game leader. Not just a player, but a commander; not just reactive, but visionary. The role that demands a variety of skills: strategic ingenuity, psychological acumen, and mechanical prowess. As esports has grown from underground passion to a multi-billion-dollar industry, the responsibilities, and challenges of being an effective in-game leader have evolved into a study of art and science in its own right.
This study will research, discuss, and analyse how in-game leadership, and communication allow one to reach expert/professional level play in shooter esports. With the assistance of field data, interviews, and past studies, the study will define what it takes to achieve pro-play and excellent In-game leadership.
