Surgical treatment has helped individuals with accidents, ailments, and diseases worldwide. For nursing students, mastering complex medical procedures like coronary angiography poses significant challenges. In such a precise field, it's crucial for these future healthcare professionals to grasp a variety of skills, especially when it comes to the delicate care needed before and after procedures like coronary angiography. This thesis aims to deepen nursing students ‘understanding of their roles and responsibilities by creating an educational poster focused on caring for patients undergoing coronary angiography. The poster, developed in partnership with Laurea University, is a captivating tool for presenting critical nursing information during these procedures.
The objective is to offer a supportive learning tool for nursing students throughout their studies. The poster not only highlights key interventions and patient monitoring but also aims to help students bridge classroom learning and real-world experience by connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application. Direct feedback gathered from the target audience through an online survey indicated a positive response, with students praising the poster for its clarity and usefulness. Despite acknowledging the limits of research, considerable time was taken to assure the results' integrity and validity, maintaining a reflective approach, and adhering to ethical issues throughout. Furthermore, current sources strengthened the work's validity and trustworthiness. The research aims to teach nursing students how to offer excellent care to patients undergoing surgical procedures like coronary angiography, improving healthcare outcomes. Nursing aspect, especially perioperative, needs more research. The poster should be updated often to reflect healthcare changes.
