In recent past e-businesses have increased in number and worth overall in the world especially during Covid pandemic. In developing countries, they had more potential for growth due to different reasons. There are many research studies related to growth of e-businesses and challenges faced by companies to start it. This study revolves around e-entrepreneurship opportunities in Pakistan.
The purpose of the thesis is to examine the feasibility of starting an e-business in Pakistan, including the opportunities and challenges entrepreneurs meet in doing so. The research questions raised to an swer objective of the thesis were, what kind of challenges does the company meet when starting an e business. What tools and platforms are used by the companies and role of e-business in the financial productivity of the company. Semi-structured interview questions were used to interview the manage ment of small and medium size companies who have running e-business.
This study indicates that, majority of businesses were positive that the government had taken sufficient action and still making it more business-friendly regulations. One important concern which was raised was bureaucratic obstacles and lack of regulations to reach international markets to progress of e-busi nesses. It was also noticed that the real boom in revenue, which companies noticed was under the second half of the Covid pandemic.
