The thesis provides knowledge on the factors that influence diverse organizations, and the recruiting process. The background lies in the problem in Finland where International job seekers struggle to get jobs equivalent to their academic background. The study aims to answer the question of how the recruiting problem could be solved.
The theoretical framework of the study is in culture, diversity, and leadership. The study examines the following themes prejudice, culture, and individual awareness, and why those themes are important for solving the problem. The interview questionnaire was aimed at recruitment professionals. The research was conducted using a qualitative research method to understand the factors and phenomena.
The result of the study is to increase individual and organizational awareness. People have prejudices that require training to increase awareness, behavior changes, and guidance. Organizations need awareness to understand the current situation and the resources to answer the requirements and set new strategies.
