This thesis was commissioned by the case company XXXX to analyze the current situation, demand, and development trend of the Chinese cosmetics market, and to evaluate the potential business opportunities for XXXX to enter the Chinese market in the future.
XXXX Oy is a Finnish cosmetics company based on natural ingredients. XXXX develops, produces, and sells active ingredients for the cosmetics and personal care industry, based on the ethically produced raw material: Finnish wood. While committed to innovative products, XXXX aims to expand to international markets.
The aim of this thesis was to analyze and understand the environment of the Chinese cosmetics market and find potential distribution channels to enter the Chinese cosmetics market. The theoretical framework in the thesis deals with analytical tools such as PEST analysis and SWOT analysis. This thesis uses a qualitative research approach. It obtains practical views towards the subject through interviews with the case company and experts in the field, combined with the collection of network data and information based on the needs of the case company.
The results of this study will provide key suggestions on marketing plans and distribution channels for XXXX Oy to enter the Chinese cosmetics market.
