Tiivistelmä
In this thesis the purpose was to find out about the students investing habits and tendencies without diving too deeply to the subject. The aim was to find out if the students invest because investing is important to do and starting it at a young age can be a massive advantage.
The thesis was carried out by using quantitative research methods. The questionnaire was sent to students by email, and they had a week to answer it. The questionnaire had 13 questions in total with most of them being single choice and one being open one where the students could write their answers as detailed as they wanted.
The answers were collected and analysed thoroughly. There were 30 answers in total.
The survey found out that majority (7%) of the students who answered the questionnaire do in fact invest and they invest ether in indexes or stocks with majority preferring indexes. Majority of them were planning to hold their investments for at least 10 years. Overwhelming 75% also do their investing decision without the help of financial advisor. Most started to invest in order to gain wealth, for retirement or their general interest towards the stock market.
