Tasa-arvo- ja yhdenvertaisuussuunnitelma nuorten lentopalloturnauksessa: Power Cup 2024

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön aiheena oli yhdenvertaisuuden ja tasa-arvokäytännön toteuttaminen lasten ja nuorten urheilutapahtumassa. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi vuoden 2024 Power Cup -tapahtuman järjestävä Joensuun Juju ry. Tavoitteena oli luoda lentopalloturnaukselle suunnitelmakokonaisuus, joka sisältää koulutusohjelman sekä aiheeseen liittyviä toimintaohjeita. Opinnäytetyön luonne oli toiminnallinen ja teorialähtöinen. Sen lähtökohtana oli etiikan, moraalin ja ihmiskäsityksen teorioita, joiden muodostamalle pohjalle lähdettiin yhdistelemään moderneja viestintäteorioita. Yhdistämällä valmentavan johtamisen, väkivallattoman vuorovaikuttamisen ja restoratiivisen kohtaamisen metodeja luotiin teoriapohja opinnäytetyön käytännön toteutukselle. Toimintaympäristöstä kerättiin myös aineistoa asiantuntijalta teemahaastattelun avulla. Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena valmistui tasa-arvo- ja yhdenvertaisuussuunnitelma, joka toimii pohjana turvallisen tilan toiminnalle tapahtumassa. Suunnitelma sisältää käyttäytymissäännöt sekä kaikille tapahtumassa työskenteleville tarkoitetun oppaan, jonka avulla kukin voi kehittää omaa osaamistaan nuoren kohtaamiseen kriisitilanteessa. Opas sisältää myös organisaation toimintaprosessin häirintätilanteiden varalle. Lisäksi suunnitelmassa annetaan tapahtuman viestintään yleisiä toimintaohjeita, joilla pyritään lisäämään tapahtuman avoimuutta. Kehitystyö tapahtuman tasa-arvon ja yhdenvertaisuuden eteen jäi kesken, minkä vuoksi toimeksiantajalle annettiin kehitysideoita seuraavalle vuodelle sekä tapahtumaan osallistuville kohdistettu palautekeräyslomake auttamaan kehitystyötä. Opinnäytetyössä käytännön kannalta olennaisimmaksi aiheeksi nousi nuoren oikeanlainen kohtaaminen konfliktissa.

The subject of this thesis was the implementation of social equality and gender equality practices in sports event for children and the youth. The thesis was commissioned by Joensuun Juju ry, the organizer of Power Cup 2024. The aim was to design a plan which would include a training plan and procedures related to the issues. The thesis was practice-based and driven by theory. It was based on theories of ethics, morality and the idea of man, which were integrated with modern communication theories. By combining methods from coaching leadership, nonviolent communication and restorative encounters a theoretical basis was created for the practical implementation of the thesis. Material was also collected from the expert in the operational environment through a thematic interview. As a result of the thesis, a gender and social equality plan was created, which serves as a foundation for the safe space at the event. The plan includes behavioral rules and a guidebook for all who work in the event. With the help of the guidebook readers can improve their skills in encountering young individuals in crisis situations. The guide also includes organizational procedures in case of harassment. In addition, the plan includes general public relations instructions which aspire to increase the transparency of the event. The development work for social and gender equality was not completed, which is why the commissioner was given ideas for development for the next year and survey form to help with development. The most relevant topic in the thesis from a practical point of view was the right way to encounter young individual in conflict.
