The aim of this study is to investigate the marketing strategy of GfK China. The characteristics of the industry were analyzed from the perspectives of the macro economic environment, industry environment and external circumstances and resources. A customer satisfaction investigation looked into the effectiveness of the marketing strategy.
Basing the analysis on my working experience and observations, customer investigation, research and analysis of situations, the GfK China marketing strategy was found to include four types of tactics: market segmentation and product, service, brand and price. Segmentation is a basic tactic which could help GfK discover the target market. Brand represents the value of a company. GfK needs to build its brand in order to be company in the industry. The price is a common marketing tactic, which helps GfK a and keep large companies. GOC's services are to provide more added-value for customers and to benefit them when they use their reports.
This study concludes that the marketing strategy will help GfK compete in industry and four tactics together would increase the sales of reports and enhance market reputation.
