This study is related to dust reduction process in magnesite industry. Both devices and combinations of devices are discussed in this thesis. In order to research the efficiency in different devices and combinations, an investigation was arranged. The purpose of the study was to find efficient method or combination of devices to reduce the dust emis in the electro-fused production.
Several companies were investigated during 2007 and 2008. A monitoring system was set in the plants to get the data of dust emission. As a result, the efficiency and cost of the devices were recorded. By classifying the type and the using range of dust separator standard of combination was set.
The result of this study was to conclude three efficient combinations for dust reduct in magnesite industry, and the parts which had to be improved were pointed out. Also the problems caused by carbon dioxide from magnesite industry were discussed.
