This thesis was written to serve the future needs of KAMK.GG, an Esports organization operating by and for the students of the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, in Kajaani Finland. The output of this thesis con-sisted of a leadership strategy aiming to assist leaders within the transition period of power inside the organ-ization during its leadership transition of 2024.
The purpose of this thesis was to discover whether it is possible to create a sustainable leadership strategy that is tailored for the leader(s) based on their personal leadership traits and styles. The thesis aims to cre-ate a line of operations that can be adapted into use within any organization requiring leadership strategy updates. The research was conducted as a mixed study, making use of a Leadership Trait Questionnaire and its mathematical data while supplementing missing data with qualitative interviews and strategic meetings. The questionnaire was answered by five employees and two future leaders of KAMK.GG.
Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that it is possible to create a leadership strategy that aligns with a leaders’ personal leadership traits and styles. The strategy provides future leaders of KAMK.GG with a basis for personal leadership development for the betterment of the organization. The process will require more research, however, and the inclusion of more organizational staff and profession-als is required in the future implementation of this method.
