Tiivistelmä
The thesis aim was a research within the Lean Six Sigma - Agile perspective for project management practice. This research case approached base elements of Lean philosophy, Six Sigma methodology, Agile, and project management.
The objective is a theoretical and descriptive research of Agile-Sigma challenges with its goals of finding the generic concept suitable for engineering organizations and critical milestones for transferring it inter and intra-organization. The research was designed as a mixed method that combines qualitative and quantitative data. The process begins with a document review process to get the latest qualitative data. A theoretical and practical
solution to the problem was found and proposed too. Then a survey with professionals is conducted for feedback regarding concepts, tools, and practices designed by the thesis’ author. The research result is validated by a quantitative survey with a larger representative to obtain the universality of the result. The survey research will assess data from different industries and various geographical areas.
The final result of this research shows a framework for transferring Agile-Sigma inter and intra-organization. This study is mostly a theoretical one, but an in-practice study will be beneficial too.
