Tiivistelmä
The collaboration between Nokia Corporation and the Laurea University of Applied Sciences made this thesis possible. The aim of this project was to develop a new concept for a digital service that would leverage Nokia’s Network as Code and enhance the digital experience at the Nokia Arena.

The Design Sprint methodology was used to create this new concept. The students’ project team had the opportunity to collaborate with Nokia representatives on two occasions during the Design Sprint week. The timeframe was tight, as the Sprint week lasted only five days, and the thesis report had to be finalized in the following four weeks. The knowledge base for the thesis was gathered partly in the weeks leading up to, and during, the Sprint week.

At the end of the process, a prototype of the concept was created, and the idea was pitched to the Nokia delegate. The feedback from Nokia representatives was positive, with the concept deemed promising. They also appreciated how Nokia’s technology was integrated into the pitch, although they emphasized that further research and planning were needed, particularly regarding the concept's financing.

The core idea behind the concept is to produce player-point-of-view video content from hockey matches at the Nokia Arena and allow spectators to view this content live, either through VR headsets or on touchscreens. Given that high-quality streaming requires reliable network connections, the concept would utilize Nokia’s Network as Code feature, known as Quality-of-Service on Demand. Additionally, the concept offers various opportunities for future expansion.
