Tiivistelmä
This thesis examines employee engagement and well-being among supportive staff in Organization X, which faces challenges related to engagement and rising turnover within this employee group. The study aims to assess engagement levels, identify key influencing factors and provide actionable recommendations to enhance engagement and reduce attrition.
The development task focuses on creating insights that can help Organization X improve the work experience of supportive staff and establish an engagement strategy tailored to this group. The theoretical framework draws on employee engagement and well-being, examining key concepts and methods for fostering an engaging work culture.
Data for the study was collected through two online questionnaires, one for current supportive staff and another for recently departed employees to capture a broad perspective on engagement and well-being factors. Both quantitative and qualitative data were analyzed to identify patterns, satisfaction levels and specific areas for improvement.
The findings reveal that engagement among supportive staff is influenced by factors such as leadership practices, communication quality and opportunities for skill development. Recommendations include enhancing leadership support, promoting effective communication, and providing targeted professional development options. Based on these insights, a practical handbook for managers was created to help Organization X foster a supportive and engaging work environment aligned with both employee needs and organizational objectives.
