Toimivan tiimin tarkistuslista : tiimien kehittämistyöskentely varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstön työhyvinvoinnin tukena

Abstract

Opinnäytetyö käsittelee varhaiskasvatuksen tiimien työskentelyä ja tiimityön vaikutuksia henkilöstön ja lasten hyvinvointiin. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tukea heinolalaisen Kailaan päiväkodin henkilöstön tiimityöskentelyä. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda tarkistuslista päiväkodin henkilöstön käyttöön.

Opinnäytetyön tietopohjassa käsiteltiin varhaiskasvatuksen moniammatillisia tiimejä, tiimityöskentelyn näyttäytymistä valtakunnallisessa Varhaiskasvatuksen perusteissa, toimivan tiimityön edellytyksiä ja haasteita sekä tiimityön vaikutuksia lapsiryhmän hyvinvointiin. Opinnäytetyön lopputuotoksena syntynyttä Toimivan tiimin tarkistuslistaa varten päiväkodin henkilöstöltä kerättiin kyselyllä ajatuksia tiimityöskentelyyn ja sen edellytyksiin ja haasteisiin liittyen. Vastauksia käytettiin täydentämään lähdekirjallisuudesta saatua tietopohjaa ja lopputuotos laadittiin näitä vertaillen ja yhdistellen.

Lähdekirjallisuudesta ja henkilöstölle tehdystä kyselystä saatiin yhteneväinen näkemys siitä, että tiimien työskentelyn arvioimisella ja tavoitteellisella kehittämistyöskentelyllä voidaan lisätä niin henkilöstön kuin lastenkin hyvinvointia varhaiskasvatuksessa.

The thesis examines teamwork in professional teams of early childhood education and the effects of team collaboration on the well-being of staff and children. The aim of the thesis was to support the teamwork of the staff at the Kailas Daycare Center in Heinola. The purpose of the thesis was to create a checklist for the daycare staff to use.

The theoretical framework of the thesis explored multidisciplinary teams in early childhood education, the role of teamwork in the national Core Curriculum for Early Childhood Education and Care, the requirements and challenges of effective teamwork, and the impact of teamwork on the well-being of child groups. To develop the final product, the Checklist for an Effective Team, thoughts and ideas about teamwork, its requirements and challenges were gathered from daycare staff through a survey. The responses were used to complement the information obtained from literature sources, and the final product was created by comparing and combining these insights.

The literature review and the survey conducted with the staff revealed a consistent view that evaluating team performance and engaging in goal-oriented development work can enhance the well-being of both staff and children in early childhood education.
