This thesis analyzes the French market for the Finnish company Materialisting, in order to consider a possible entry into this foreign market. The company, based in Joensuu and Helsinki, is a young start-up offering a platform for comparing construction materials to make the most eco-responsible choices possible. The research methods used are a dekstop survey and secondary data. The first part of this thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the market in general, covering the topics of sustainable development, construction industry and finally, more specifically, sustainable development in the French construction industry. This research and analysis then enabled to carry out in-depth analyses of the foreign market, using theoretical concepts such as PESTEL and SWOT analyses as applied to the subject of this thesis. Finally, thanks to all this analysis and research, it has been possible to draw conclusions that suggest possible approaches and show market conditions. By analyzing them, these results show that the market offers interesting opportunities but will require a well-balanced and targeted strategy to ensure Materialisting's success in France.
