Akuutin neurologisen potilaan hoito : perehdytysmateriaali uudelle työntekijälle Päijät-Hämeen hyvinvointialueen teho- ja valvontaosastolle

Abstract

Opinnäytetyö käsittelee akuutin neurologisen potilaan hoitoa teho- ja valvontaolosuhteissa. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda aiheesta perehdytysopas uudelle työntekijälle Päijät-Hämeen keskussairaalan teho- ja valvontaosastolle. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli yhtenäistää käytäntöjä lisäten potilasturvallisuutta sekä nopeuttaa uuden työntekijän perehdytystä osastolle.

Käsite neurologinen potilas pitää sisällään keskus- ja ääreishermoston sairauksia. Akuutilla vaiheella tarkoitetaan olosuhdetta, jossa potilaan tila ei ole vielä stabiili. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa perehdytään yleisimpiin aivoverenkiertohäiriöihin sekä muutamaan mahdollisesti tehohoitoa vaativaan neurologiseen tilaan.

Opinnäytetyön tutkimuksellisessa vaiheessa toteutettiin palautekysely oppaasta osaston sairaanhoitajille. Perehdytysopas luotiin PowerPoint-pohjalle, joka tallennetaan organisaa-tion koulutusalustalle Pätevään.

This thesis deals with the treatment of an acute neurological patient in intensive care and intermediate care unit. The purpose of the thesis was to create an orientation guide on the subject for a new employee at the intensive and intermediate care unit of Päijät-Häme Central Hospital. The aim of the thesis was to unify practices and speed up the orientation of a new employee to the department.

The term neurological patient includes diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The acute phase refers to a situation where the patient's condition is not yet stable. In the theory part of the thesis, the most common cerebrovascular disorders are introduced, as well as a few neurological conditions that may require intensive care.

In the research phase of the thesis, a feedback survey was carried out for the nurses of the department about the orientation guide. The guide was created on a PowerPoint template, which is saved on the organization's training platform Pätevä.
