Trakeostomoidun potilaan hoitotyö : opas sairaanhoitaja- ja terveydenhoitajaopiskelijoille

Abstract

Trakeostooma eli henkitorviavanne tehdään kaulan ihon läpi trakeaan eli henkitorveen äänihuulien ja rengasruston alapuolelle esteettömän hengityksen varmistamiseksi ja hengitystyön kuormituksen vähentämiseksi. Trakeostomoidun potilaan hoitamiseen vaaditaan osaamista anatomiasta ja fysiologiasta. Näiden lisäksi hoitajalla tulisi olla osaamista myös aseptiikasta, kanyyleista, avanteen hoidosta, hoitoon liittyvistä toimenpiteistä sekä välineistöstä. Trakeostooma-alueen puhtaudesta ja kuivuudesta on tärkeää huolehtia haava- ja ihoinfektioiden ehkäisemiseksi. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli lisätä sairaanhoitaja- ja terveydenhoitajaopiskelijoille tietoa ja taitoa trakeostomoidun potilaan hoitotyöstä. Opinnäytetyön tehtävänä oli tuottaaopiskelijoille informoiva ja selkeä opas trakeostomoidun potilaan alkuvaiheen hoidosta. Työn tuotoksena syntyi opas, joka sisältää ohjeita trakeostomoidun potilaan hoidosta. Oppaassa on tietoa valmistautumisesta, potilaan tarkkailusta sekä trakeostooman poistosta. Oppaassa on kuvia, jotta asiat olisi helpompi ymmärtää. Oppaasta on rajattu liman imeminen, koska siitä on oma opinnäytetyö.

To treat a tracheostomized patient requires knowledge of anatomy and physiology. In addition to these, the nurse should also have knowledge of aseptic techniques, cannulas, stoma care, treatment-related procedures and equipment. Keeping the tracheostomy site clean and dry is important in preventing wound and skin infections. The aim of the thesis was to enhance the competence of nursing and public health nursing students in the nursing care of tracheostomized patients. The objective of the thesis was to produce an informative and explicit guide for the students about the initial care of the tracheostomized patient. As a result of the thesis, a guide was created containing instructions on the care of the tracheostomized patient. The guide contains information on preparation, patient monitoring and tracheostomy removal. There are pictures in the guide to facilitate understanding. In the guide, the suctioning of mucus is excluded, because there is a separate thesis on that.
