This thesis aimed to develop an educational brochure to equip nurses with the knowledge and skills necessary for supporting the mental health of women facing infertility, with a focus on empathy and comprehensive care. The purpose was to guide nurses in enhancing their ability to deliver compassionate and effective support, thus promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of these women.
The PSDA (Plan, Study, Do, Act) model was used for the brochure's implementation. Feed-back was collected through questionnaires from ten nurses at Hôpital Gynéco-Obstétrique et Pédiatrique de Douala, Cameroon. The responses indicated a largely positive reception of the brochure, highlighting its relevance and applicability to nursing roles, as well as its user-friendly design.
However, some areas for improvement were noted by the nurses at HGOPED. They suggested that the brochure could better answer their questions about mental health support and further clarify the link between nurses' training and mental health support. Based on this feedback, the brochure was improved to better meet the needs of nurses and support them in dealing with infertility in women.
