Tiivistelmä
The research examined the introduction of "Egg Hoppers," a traditional Sri Lankan dish, into the multicultural food market of Vantaa, Finland. The aim was to evaluate consumer acceptance, assess market potential, and identify strategies for integrating the dish into the menu of Katamaran Grill, a local restaurant. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from structured surveys with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews. Data collection involved a tasting event where participants provided feedback on key factors such as taste, texture, aroma, pricing, and overall appeal. The findings indicate that egg hoppers received positive feedback, particularly in taste and freshness, suggesting a strong potential for market acceptance. The study concludes that successful market entry requires strategic marketing, cultural storytelling, and adaptation to local preferences. Egg Hoppers are posi-tioned as a unique, culturally rich, and health-conscious addition to Vantaa's evolving food landscape.
