Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyö käsittelee leposide-eristyksen oikeaoppista toteutusta psykiatrisessa hoitotyössä. Aiheeseen liittyy potilasturvallisuus, mielenterveyslaki sekä rajoitustoimenpiteiden eettinen ja käytännöllinen toteutus.
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa opetusvideo Päijät-Hämeen hyvinvointialueen psykiatrian osasto 7:n henkilökunnalle leposide-eristyksen oikeaoppisesta toimeenpa-nosta. Sen tarkoitus oli lisätä henkilökunnan osaamista, samalla yhdenmukaistaen käytäntöjä leposide-eristyksen suorittamisesta, parantaen potilasturvallisuutta ja työyhteisön osaamista.
Opinnäytetyön menetelmänä käytettiin toiminnallista opinnäytetyötä. Tietoperusta koostui ajantasaisista tutkimuksista, mielenterveyslaista sekä Safewards-mallista.
Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena syntyi opetusvideo, jossa demonstroidaan vaihe vaiheelta, kuinka potilas käännetään oikein leposide-eristysvuoteelle ja miten magneettivyöt kiinnitetään. Opetusvideo toteutettiin yhdessä osaston henkilökunnan ja turvallisuuskouluttajan kanssa. Opetusvideo esitettiin ja arvioitiin nimettömällä Webropol-kyselyllä. Opetusvideo koettiin hyödyllisenä ja selkeänä ja se otettiin henkilöstön käyttöön. The thesis deals with the correct implementation of limb restraints in psychiatric care. The topic is related to patient safety, mental health law and the ethical and practical implementation of restraint measures.
The purpose of the thesis was to produce an instructional video for the nursing staff of the Department of Psychiatry, Ward 7 of the Wellbeing Services County of Päijät-Häme, on the correct implementation of limb restraints. It was intended to increase the competence of the nursing staff, at the same time harmonising the practice of per-forming limb restraints, improving patient safety and the competence of the nursing staff.
The thesis method used was a practice-based thesis. The knowledge base consisted of up-to-date studies, the Mental Health Act and the Safewards model.
The thesis resulted in an instructional video, which demonstrates step-by-step how to correctly turn the patient onto the restraint bed and how to fasten the magnetic belts. The instructional video was made in collaboration with the nursing staff of Ward 7 and the safety trainer. The educational video was presented and evaluated through an anonymous Webropol survey. The video was found to be useful and clear and was made available publicly to the staff.
