Tiivistelmä
This thesis examines how growth hacking techniques can be applied to support the sustainable growth of small service businesses. Eezy Lahti, a Finnish recruitment and staffing company, served as the case company throughout this study. The study aims to find out what growth hacking is, its long-term impact on business growth, the best growth hacking strategies for small service businesses, and challenges faced by small businesses during implementation. The research used a mixed-method approach through interviews, observation, and experimentation of various digital growth hacking tools within three months.

Growth hacking strategies such as local SEO optimization, content marketing, enhanced usage of social media, and utilizing data analysis in decision making were the selected strategies to test and monitor. Results presented that these strategies led to an increase in local customer interaction and content performance. Even though this study highlighted the limitations, such as shortage of human resources, limited access to the website, and time limitations for experimentation, findings confirmed that growth hacking is a practical and low-cost technique that can be utilized by small service companies to gain visibility, customer acquisition, and retention.

The thesis concludes that with proper planning, clear role assignment, and limited automation tools, small service companies can apply growth hacking to achieve long-term business development. Recommendations are also made for overcoming implementation challenges, as well as proposed further research ideas to increase the generalizability of results.
