Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this thesis is to design a mobile-optimized website for Element Beauty Salon using Figma, a modern cloud-based UI/UX design tool. The aim is to enhance the salon’s digital presence through a user-friendly and visually coherent interface that reflects its brand identity. The study examines core UI and UX design principles, the role of design systems, and the benefits of a component-based approach in contemporary web development.
A qualitative research methodology was applied. Data was gathered through a semi-structured interview with the salon owner and supported by a review of academic literature. The theoretical framework is grounded in established UI/UX concepts, while the practical component involved developing an interactive prototype in Figma. Key features used in the design process included auto layout, reusable components, variants, and prototyping functionality.
