The purpose of this study was to research if making bioplastic packaging will decrease food waste. The study attempted to answer a few questions: “How can making bio-plastic for takeout packaging reduce food waste?”, “How much food waste there is currently?”, “What should be considered when making takeout packaging?” . This research was made to see if people would agree to change to something they are not familiar with if they had more information about it.
This study used deductive theoretical model as a research method. Empirical data was collected through a questionnaire. The theoretical framework was collected form websites, videos, and articles.
Results of this study show that people would agree to change their behaviour - start using bioplastic packaging for takeaway food instead of regular plastic packaging. This research gives a big hope for solving one or even two problems at once.
