Hoitajat hyvinvointiteknologian käyttäjinä.

Abstract

Tämä opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli lisätä asukkaiden ja hoitohenkilökunnan välistä yhteisöllisyyttä tehostetussa palveluasumisen yksikössä. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tukea hoitohenkilökuntaa käyttämään hyvinvointiteknolo-giaa tehostetun palveluasumisen yhteisöllisen toiminnan lisäämiseksi. Opinnäytetyön tehtävä oli suunnitella Smart Care Tv:n ohjaus hoitohenkilökunnalle ja toteuttaa ohjaus. Opinnäytetyö liittyy Hyvinvointia ja Energiatehokkuutta Asumiseen hankkeeseen, joka toteutettiin vuosien 2011–2014 aikana.

Hoitohenkilökunnalle toteutettu Smart CareTv:n ohjaus tapahtui ryhmäohjauksena. Ohjauskertoja oli neljä ja niihin oli laadittu ohjaussuunnitelma. Ensimmäisellä ohjauskerralla hoitohenkilökunta tutustui Smart Care tv:hen. Heille näytettiin miten tv:tä käytetään ja mitä sisältöä sieltä löytyy. Seuraavan kolmen ohjauskerran tarkoituksena oli auttaa virikehetkien luomisessa, arvioida niitä ja antaa palautetta toteutuksesta. Näille ohjauskerroille hoitajat suunnittelivat viriketuokion ja toteuttivat sen Smart CareTv:tä käyttäen. Virketuokion jälkeen käytiin palautekeskustelu.

Hoitohenkilökunnan mielestä Smart CareTv:tä laite oli helppo käyttää ja he olivat motivoituneita käyttämään sitä ja järjestämään virikehetkiä yksikön asukkaille. Virikehetket synnyttivät asukkaissa yhteisöllisyyttä ja osallisuutta, se toi heille silminnähden hyvää mieltä.

Jatkokehittämisaiheena olisi, että säännöllisten virikehetkien pitäminen esimerkiksi Smart Care tv:n avulla sisällytettäisiin päivittäiseen ohjelmaan ja koko henkilökunta perehtyisi välineen käyttöön.

Nurses as Users of Welfare Technology

This thesis was executed as a functional thesis. The purpose of the thesis was to increase the communality between the residents and the nursing staff in the unit of intensified service living. The goal of the thesis was to support the nursing staff to use welfare technology in order to in-crease the communal activity in the intensified service living. The objective of this thesis was to plan a guidance of the use of a Smart Care TV to the nursing staff and then accomplish the guidance. This thesis is a part of the Welfare and Energy efficiency for the residency-project, which was executed in between the years 2011–2014.

The guidance of the use of the Smart Care TV for the nursing staff was made as group guidance. There were four meetings arranged for the guidance with a ready guidance plan. In the first session the nursing staff got to know the Smart Care TV. They were shown how the Smart Care TV is used and what it includes. The purpose of the next three sessions was to help the staff to create activities, evaluate them and to give feedback of the implementation. For these sessions the nursing staff planned an activity and carried it out by using the Smart Care TV. After the activity there was a feedback session.

The nursing staff considered the Smart Care TV easy to use and they were motivated to use it to create activities for the residents of the unit. Activities brought up the communality and par-ticipation in the residents and clearly made the residents feel glad.

The use of the Smart Care TV in creation of regular activities as a part of daily program and the participation of the whole nursing staff of the usage is the goal for further development of this thesis.
