The purpose of this web application is to enable users find personalized recipes based on the ingredients they have, their preferred cuisine, and dietary needs. It supports healthier meal planning using smart recipe suggestions from Edamam API.
The development of the application was done with the use of agile methods as a full stack project. Flask and MongoDB were used for the back-end, while HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap were used on the front-end. Both the client side and the server side of the application were deployed on Render cloud services. Key features of this application include ingredient search, cuisine filters, and smart recommendations.
The development and deployment of this application met the core objective of simplifying meal planning by offering quick recipes according to the preference of the user.
The project strengthened the developers technical abilities and contributed to their growth as a future software professional.
