This thesis has been developed with the aim of designing an internationalisation plan for the Spanish company Productos del Mar Ancavico S.L. into the Finnish seafood and frozen products market.
To create this plan, diverse concepts and tools from the fields of international business and international marketing have been applied. To ensure it is as effective as possible, an in-depth research has been conducted, analysing both the characteristics of the case company and those of the Finnish market it aims to enter.
After gathering all the needed data, a market entry plan is developed based on these findings. This plan is inspired by the guidelines established in Essentials of Global Marketing by Svend Hollensen and is structured to ensure the company’s success in case it decides to implement it.
The final objective of this thesis is to determine Ancavico’s capabilities to undertake internationalisation processes, analyse the characteristics of the Finnish market and develop an internationalisation plan accordingly, which will enable Ancavico to enter and sustain operations in the long term in Finland.
