E- commerce has become one of the priorities in the era of globalization. The world today pays great attention to the quick profit that it achieves through little effort and quickly time.
This thesis examined the impact of e-commerce on the economic growth of Finland, focusing on the retail sector between 2018 and 2023. With its advanced digital infrastructure, Finland is a unique case to analyze the impact of digital commerce on economic development.
The study reveals that e-commerce has contributed positively to GDP growth, job creation, and retail productivity. It has also improved accessibility to goods and services in all regions. However, challenges such as global competition, cybersecurity, and the digital division influence SMEs. The research offered policy recommendations to support the future growth of Finnish e-commerce.
