Tiivistelmä
The research considers the gap between what H&M commits to sustainability and what occurs in their Bangladeshi factories. I used information from H&M's own company reports, independent investigations by organizations like the Clean Clothes Campaign, and research studies about Bangladesh's garment industry to understand what goes on. Research found that while H&M has good policies in place, there are still problems like low wages and dangerous working conditions in the majority of factories.
The research reveals that producing clothing in a sustainable way is a problem. Even if large retailers like H&M do their best to do better, it is difficult to ensure that all their suppliers follow the guidelines. The research implies simple ways to do better without spending a fortune, like more training for employees and improved reporting.
This project makes us realize why fast fashion retailers cannot live up to their green and ethical reputation. The results can assist H&M and other fashion retailers in fulfilling their sustainability commitments in nations such as Bangladesh.
