Tiivistelmä
The aim of this thesis was to plan and conduct a new set of brochures for Mareco group for an international shipbuilding trade fair, which took place in Hamburg in September 2006. The most important reasons for renewing the brochures were that Mareco group has new products and they have opened new offices around Europe. Also the nature of the brochures had to be renewed into selling spirit. The mandator for this thesis was Deumareco Marine Systems GmbH which is part of Mareco group and is located in Hamburg. Mareco Marine Systems is an international company operating in the shipping and shipbuilding industry which has offices around Europe. The new set of brochures is meant for all Mareco' s offices around Europe.

The brochures' purpose is to work as a supporting tool in company's marketing, personal selling situations and at the fair. Pictures in the brochures are taken by digital camera and edited in Adobe Photoshop. The text and the final material of the brochures were done by using Adobe PageMaker. The final material was sent as a PDF-file into a printing house. After printing the brochures ready they were delivered to the fair. Guidelines for making of the brochures were collected from an interview with the staff of Deumareco Marine Systems GmbH. Planning and conducting of the brochures took about five months. The mandator of this thesis was satisfied on the result. Also the feedback from the customers at the fair was positive and the aim was reached. The issues discussed in thesis are business-to-business marketing, channel decision in marketing, direct and indirect marketing, fair activity and a brochure as a tool in company's marketing. In the end of this thesis the process of making of the brochures will be discussed.
