Tiivistelmä
The aim of the thesis was to researeh the familiarity of the name Kokkolan seudun opisto in the Kokkola region. The first part of the thesis shortly presents Kokkolan seudun opisto and the previous eorporate image researeh whieh was done in year 2001. The seeond part eoneentrates on eorporate image, image marketing and branding. Chapter three looks more closely to the operations of Kokkolan seudun opisto. The questionnaire and results are analyzed in ehapter four. lt was clear that the familiarity of the institute's name was weak among the respondents. People were not familiar that all the four departments, Työväenopisto, Medborgarinstitutet, Lasten ja nuorten kuvataidekoulu and Kälviän osasto belong under the same name; Kokkolan seudun opisto. The last part of the thesis is about eonclusions and development suggestions; what Kokkolan seudun opisto eould do in order to improve their familiarity.
