Cotton Club (BD) Ltd. which is a Bangladeshi apparel manufacturing company commissioned this thesis. The study was aimed at investigating the motivation behind the organization in being committed to ecologically friendly business practices. It was also aimed at identifying the internal and external influences on the sustainability journey of the industry, quantifying the organizational impacts of sustainable models, and evaluating the strategic configuration in relation to the global environmental objectives.
The theoretical framework was built upon the institutional theory, stakeholder theory, and triple bottom line approach. In a developing country, these concepts were utilized to under-stand how business strategy interacted with social, environmental, and economic imperatives.
The research methodology used was qualitative. Key management staff participated in semi-structured interviews to augment the study's secondary data analysis foundation. To find recurrent themes, driving forces, and obstacles related to sustainable implementation, thematic analysis was employed.
According to the findings, buyer expectations, long-term cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance were the primary forces behind sustainability. To create sustainable projects, it was also found that administrative determination and a values-driven principles were crucial. It has been shown that the industry's sustainability efforts bring value and improve its reputation in addition to providing operational resilience. Due to a combination of strategic incentives and ethical considerations, Cotton Club (BD) Ltd., was found to have integrated sustainability into its core business actions.
