This thesis contain design for a prototype and will essentially contain: Research for criteria for various sensors: displacement sensors, absolute encoders, and speed sensors. Detailed schematic diagrams of the hardware components. Description of the selected microcontroller, power supply considerations, and communication interfaces.
In summary, the significance of the thesis results lies in their potential to enhance engine production practices, contribute to industry standards, and improve reliability of measuring and calibration for essential engine components. The tool developed represents a meaningful advance in the capability of engineers to ensure optimal engine performance, with broad applications in both maintenance operations and training, as well as commercial prospects.
In conclusion, the successful development of the hardware tool for CAM and TDC timing on Wartsila engines necessitates a diverse array of equipment and software solutions.
