Tiivistelmä
The purpose of this thesis is to prototype the grain moisture measurement system based on a mechanical sampling design created prior to this project. In addition to the original design, it was possible to complete the sensing, electronics and software to achieve automated moisture assessment. An embedded system and communication interface for remote operation and data collection were implemented. The electrical and control systems were completed so that they would be modular and compatible for future implementation. The project was constructed using materials available on the current market.
The solution is a good candidate for becoming a working prototype and can in the future be adapted to work in the field for real-life grain drying operations inside farms in Finland with the appropriate enclosure changes and refinements.
