This project studied the development of a mobile application designed to support people identifying potential interactions between food ingredients and medicines. The motivation was the lack of tools in a market that analyses nutrition data and medicine interactions. The application was implemented with Flutter framework and Dart language. SQLite was used to secure local storage of personal information. Barcode scanning was integrated with the Open Food Facts API to retrieve product ingredient information, while the OpenAI GTP API analysed potential compatibility issues.
The work followed a modular design, including a personal medicine management screen, a barcode scanning, a compatibility check screen and a home screen for guidance. GIT technology was used for secure version control. Application was tested on android emulator and real android device. Results showed that combining local storage, open data and AI-based analysis tools in one mobile application is viable, producing useful compatibility results.
