Along with the development of the Chinese economy, peoples’ consumption habits have changed dramatically. Consequently, clothing choices have become increasingly important in people’s everyday lives. Based on this background, the thesis proposed a brand-new business plan for customized T-shirts. The business plan treats every customer as a segmented market, taking advantage of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, infrared scanning, virtual reality, and intelligent terminals. By combining standardized management with considerate service, the business has great potential to rapidly capture a significant share of China’s large T-shirt market and further accelerate the development of the overall clothing industry.
The aim of this thesis was to create a comprehensive business plan for the customized T-shirt project, confirming its creativity, feasibility, and potential for positive development.
The theoretical framework focused on the establishment of a business plan and included theories of entrepreneurship, business models, business planning, and marketing. The practical section presented marketing analysis and the business plan. This thesis was a research-based development project, with a quantitative research approach as the main method. To analyze customer structure, demand, and behavior, a survey research method was applied.
Several theories were applied in this thesis. First, Porter’s Five Forces Model was used to analyze the business environment of the customized T-shirt industry. Second, the business model for the customized T-shirt project was developed using the Business Model Canvas and Value Proposition Canvas. Third, target customers, competitors, and the latest market trends were investigated through a questionnaire survey. Fourth, market segmentation and positioning were carried out using the STP method, and finally, the marketing plan was developed based on the 4Ps framework.
In conclusion, the customized T-shirt business has great commercial potential in China, and the comprehensive business plan presented in this thesis provides a detailed roadmap for its implementation and growth.
