Tiivistelmä
The thesis explores how Lithuania’s hidden gems can be managed sustainability, while balancing revenue, culture and nature. It examines, how these areas can be improved in rural areas, without harming local communities or natural landscapes.
The research analyses secondary literature, as well with questionnaire insights, from tourism professionals. The findings show, that analysed data – sustainability measures, pricing, infrastructure are significantly influencing the popularity of the destinations.
The result of the thesis shows that the environmental values are important in such places, the measures analysed in the thesis are practical. All in all, Lithuania is capable of improving less known destination popularity and balance flow between the destinations, if the sustainable practises are implemented.
