Tiivistelmä
Virtual reality sickness remains a central challenge to the usability and accessibility of VR technology. This publication approaches the phenomenon from a multidisciplinary perspective, combining theoretical understanding with practical design solutions. Readers will learn to identify key underlying factors of VR-induced sickness and evaluate how hardware and application design influence the user experience.
The aim of this publication is to equip designers and developers with the tools for applying research-based knowledge and practical solutions when optimizing VR experiences to minimize discomfort. It serves as a foundation for developing VR applications where user well-being is placed at the core of the design process, thereby promoting broader accessibility and the adoption of VR across various domains.
