Maastopelastamisen erityispiirteet ensihoidossa : kuvaileva kirjallisuuskatsaus

Abstract

Sairaskohtauksia ja onnettomuuksia tapahtuu paikasta riippumatta, joten ensihoitajan tulisi osata toimia myös vaikeassa maastossa tapahtuvissa pelastusoperaatioissa. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli koota helposti saataville materiaali maastopelastuksen erityispiirteistä ensihoidon näkökulmasta. Aihe on tärkeä, sillä aihetta koskeva suomenkielinen aineisto puuttuu lähes kokonaan.

Aihetta tutkittiin käyttäen kuvailevaa kirjallisuuskatsausta. Alussa muodostettiin tutkimuskysymys, jonka pohjalta hyväksyttiin tutkimukseen sopiva aineisto. Aineistot analysoitiin ja näistä etsittiin yhdistäviä teemoja, jotka muodostivat tutkimuksen ylä- ja alaluokat. Lopussa aineistoista saadut tulokset koottiin yhteen ja arvioitiin tutkimuksen eettisyyttä ja luotettavuutta.

Tutkimuksista kävi ilmi, että etsintä- ja pelastustehtävissä lisähaastetta tuovat vaikeakulkuinen maasto sekä vaihtelevat sääolosuhteet. Aineistossa tuli ilmi myös erilaisia välineitä mitä pelastushenkilökunta käyttää hyväkseen haasteellisesta maastosta tehdyissä pelastusoperaatioissa sekä onnettomuusriskin kasvaminen vuoripelastustehtävillä.

Tuloksista käy hyvin ilmi maastopelastamisen erilainen luonne verrattaessa kaupunkiympäristössä tehtyihin ensihoidon tehtäviin.

Medical emergencies or accidents can happen anywhere, at any time. So paramedics should also be able to operate in rescue operations, which happen in difficult terrain. The purpose of the thesis was to collect easily accessible material about special features of rescue operations in difficult terrain from the perspective of paramedics. The topic is important, because the Finnish material about the topic is missing almost completely.

The topic was researched using descriptive literature review. At the beginning, a research question was created, which was used as the basis for approving suitable material for the research. The materials were analyzed for unifying themes, that formed the main categories and subcategories. In the end the results from the materials were collected and the ethics and reliability of the research was estimated.

The research results revealed, that in search and rescue operations, difficult terrain and changing weather conditions create extra challenges. The materials have also shown different equipment that can be used in rescue operations, which happen in difficult terrain. The risk of accidents has also been found to be increasing in mountain rescue operations.

The results show the different nature of the rescue operation in the difficult terrain com-pared to the urban environment.
