The design and development of a project management application for the LAB research & development (R&D) team were carried out to improve the management of the project lifecycle, particularly the process from project creation to enrolment. The work addressed challenges related to fragmented tools and inefficient handling of project-related information.
A full-stack web application was developed to provide a centralised platform for managing project-related tasks. The system was designed using Figma, a well-known responsive design tool, and implemented with frontend and backend technologies connected to a database. An iterative development approach was applied to support continuous refinement during the implementation process.
The developed application enables project creation, project management, student information storage, and enrolment processes within a single system. Access is controlled through HAKA authentication to ensure secure usage. The system provides a structured workflow and improves the overall management of projects.
The application is expected to improve efficiency, usability, and transparency in managing project activities. Confirmation against these qualities through end-user testing remains for a later iteration. The solution can be further extended with additional features and integrations to enhance its scalability.
