Vanhempien kokemuksia Jyväskylän varhaisen tuen perhepalveluista

Abstract

Opinnäytetyössäni tarkasteltiin Jyväskylän varhaisen tuen perhepalveluita. Opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajana toimi Jyväskylässä toimiva VATUPASSI-tiimi, joka on erään-lainen varhaisen tuen työryhmä. VATUPASSI-tiimissä oli edustajia eri organisaatioista.

Viime vuosina VATUPASSI-tiimi järjesti Tarinaviikot Jyväskylässä. Tarinaviikoilla var-haisen tuen palveluiden käyttäjä (vanhempi) sai antaa palautetta näistä palveluista, halutessaan tarinamuotoisesti. Opinnäytetyöni aineisto oli peräisin vuoden 2015 Tarinaviikoilta. Aineisto oli laadullinen. Tutkimuskysymykset liittyivät vanhempien kokemuksiin käyttämistään palveluista. Työssäni vertasin vuoden 2015 Tarinaviikkojen tuloksia vuoden 2011 tuloksiin. Tulosten mukaan Jyväskylän varhaisen tuen perhepalvelut koettiin hyviksi ja merkittäviksi. Käyttäjät kokivat saavansa jaksamista ja tukea arkeen. Positiivisesti merkittävimmiksi asioiksi kerrottiin vertaistuki, lapselle tarjotut virikkeet sekä positiiviset vaikutukset omaan jaksamiseen. Mainintoja negatiivisesti koetuista asioista oli vähemmän. Eniten ne kohdistuivat resurssien puutteeseen sekä aukioloaikoihin.

Verrattuna vuoden 2011 tuloksiin, esiintyi aineistossa paljon samoja asioita. Kumpanakin vuonna merkittävimpiä asioita olivat vertaistuki ja virikkeet. Niin vuonna 2011 kuin vuonna 2015 suuriksi nimetyt kehityskohteet olivat resurssien sekä kesä-aukioloaikojen puute. Huomattava ero näiden vuosien välillä oli se, että vuonna 2011 viriketoiminta sai paljon kiitosta, kun taas vuonna 2015 sitä ei mainittu kehittämiskohteena. Viriketoimintaa on siis lisätty onnistuneesti.

The purpose of the thesis was to examine the early support family services of Jyväskylä. The assignment of thesis came from the VATUPASSI-team that operates in Jyväskylä and is an early support workgroup. The VATUPASSI-team had members from different organizations.

During the few past years the VATUPASSI-team has organized the so called “Story weeks” in Jyväskylä. During the Story weeks the clients of the early family services (parents) can give feedback on the services in the form of a story if they so wish. The data of the thesis came from the Story weeks of 2015. The data was qualitative. The research questions were related to the parents’ experiences of the services they used. In this thesis the results of the 2015 Story weeks were compared to those of 2011.

According to the results, the early support family services of Jyväskylä were considered good and significant. The clients felt that they were supported and that they gained strength for their daily lives. The most significant positive factors were peer support, the activities offered for children and the positive effects on the parents’ personal coping skills. Negative experiences were reported to a much smaller extent, and they were mainly related to the lack of resources and opening hours.

Compared to the year 2011, the data contained a great deal of similarities. In both years the most meaningful factors were peer support and activities for children. Equally, in both years the most important development targets were the lack of resources and the lack of summer opening hours. A remarkable difference between the years was that in 2011 the recreational activities was held in high regard whereas in 2015 they were not mentioned as a development target. This means that the activities have been successful.
