Tiivistelmä
This work contains an information collected during experiment conducted in Wolfenbuettel, Germany, in Summer 2015. The experiment was to test ultrasonic water purification devices' effect on microbial content of water from a local eutrophied lake. In order to do so, lake water was placed in plastic containers in outside greenhouse and monitored for 6-16 days. Three repetitions were conducted.
The results showed that different frequencies of ultrasound targeted various microorganisms. However, none of the tested devices is suitable for usage is drinking water preparation.
