This paper‘s aim is primarily to identify and analyze critical success factors of SAP ERP implementation process. Secondary aim is to provide an overall summary of all topics directly related to SAP ERP implementation, including project management. The overall target is to address the issue of the implementation process management.
The theoretical part provides an overview of project management concepts as well as the specifics of IS/IT implementation. SAP ERP system is presented. ERP systems, and particularly SAP, have become a vital part of well-functioning businesses, ranging from SMEs to large businesses, therefore an insight into this exciting cross-dimensional field is presented.
In order to reach the primary aim of the thesis, survey and interviews have been made. All respondents have significant experience in SAP ERP implementation. The target of the research was either to help support the theoretical outcomes or provide aditional first-hand knowledge. The research brings value and understanding into the complex issue of cross-dimensional and extensive SAP ERP implementation projects.
