Handbok för mikroföretagare : Hur ekonomistyrning kan förbättra verksamheten

Abstract

Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka kunskapen om ekonomistyrning hos mikroföretagare. Genom tidigare bokföringsuppdrag under de senaste åren har vi konstaterat att många mikroföretagare inte känner till hur deras verksamhet och ekonomin egentligen hänger ihop. Det finns en bristande kunskap inom ekonomistyrning och lönsamhet. Arbetet är avgränsat till mikroföretagare i Pargas. Undersökningen gjordes med 10 mikroföretagare. Vi hade en intervju med en representant, hos varje företag angående deras kunskap om deras ekonomi, vilka ekonomiska termer de känner till samt hur de förhåller sig till dem. I intervjun diskuterades det inte enbart om ekonomiska termer, utan även allmänt om hur det är att vara företagare i Finland. Resultatet av intervjuerna visade att de flesta företagare verkligen har bristande kunskap om ekonomin. Ett stort problem i undersökningen var visserligen terminologin. Men trots detta så var förståelsen kring undersökningen relativt god. Resultaten gav värdefull information som vi sedan kunde använda vid utvecklandet av vår produkt, nämligen en ekonomihandbok för mikroföretagare.

The purpose of the study is to investigate micro entrepreneurs’ knowledge about financial management. Through personal tasks during the recent years we have found out that many micro entrepreneurs do not know how their business and economy actually are linked to each other. There is lack of knowledge about financial management and about profitability. We have focused our work on micro entrepreneurs in the municipality of Pargas. The survey was done with 10 entrepreneurs. We had an interview with each company regarding their knowledge of their economy, which of the financial terms they do understand, and how they manage to relate them to themselves. In the interview we did not only discuss economic terms, we also generally processed the position of being an entrepreneur in Finland. The results of the interview showed that most of the entrepreneurs have lack of knowledge about the economy. A major problem in the survey was admittedly the terminology. But despite this, the understanding of the survey was on a quite good level. Out of these results, we received valuable information that we could use in our product that we are developing, a manual for micro entrepreneurs as we call it.
