Syftet med detta arbete är att få fram faktorer som påverkar finländarnas val av skiddestination. Undersökningen avgränsas till barnfamiljer och till följande destinationer i mellersta Sverige: Kläppen, Järvsö, Hassela, Stöten och Sälen. Som teoretisk referensram i arbetet används konsumentbeteende inom turism, vilken innefattar köpprocess, informationssökning och familjelivscykeln. Metoden som använts är en kvantitativ undersökningsmetod. Den kvantitativa undersökningen mäter allmän kännedom om svenska skiddestinationer, resvanor samt vad som prioriteras i val av destination, resa och boende. Totalt samlades in 164 svar. Analysen av resultaten visar att intresset för skidresor till Sverige finns, även om kännedom om destinationerna är låg. Intresse för paketresor visade sig vara stort. The aim of this study is to define which factors influence the traveler’s choice of ski-resort. The survey is limited to investigate Finnish families and following Ski-resorts in Middle Sweden: Kläppen, Järvsö, Hassela, Stöten, Sälen. The theoretical part is based on consumer behavior in tourism and includes the buying process, information search and the family lifecycle. As a method a quantitative approach is used. The quantitative survey measures how well known the Swedish ski-resorts are, what determinants does influence on the choice of ski resort and what do people prefer according to booking, transport and accommodation. A total of 164 answers were collected. The analysis of the results shows that many determinants are influencing the choice of ski-resort. The interest for a ski-holiday in Sweden is high, even if the knowledge about the ski-resorts is low. The interest for package holidays including travel and accommodation was significant.
