Abstract

Futbugio struggles with problems regarding poor online visibility of its website on the search engines. Low rankings on Google results in poor number of visitors to the website. Therefore, this thesis was conducted to determine an optimal strategy and process for how to implement SEO effectively for futbugio.com. The research methodology follows a case study approach, utilizing the qualitative data gathered through discussions, observations and secondary documents. The study provided an in-depth analysis of a four-stage SEO process at futbugio.com, including keywords research, on-page optimization, off-page optimization and measurement of the performance. By measuring the effectiveness of the campaign, SEO seems to be a promising approach for Futbugio to improve its online visibility as well as attract larger audiences. In addition, Futbugio owners have had the chances to review their marketing strategy and determine to combine both SEO and paid advertising for the next campaign.
