Tiivistelmä
Detta arbete handlar om ungdomsledarens roll inom kommunal ungdomsverksamhet. Den nya ungdomslagen, som trädde i kraft 2017, ställer större krav på kommunerna att satsa mera på ungdomsverksamhet. Kronoby Kommun, som är vår uppdragsgivare, önskar på sikt att anställa en ungdomsledare.
Syftet med arbetet är att göra förberedande arbete för en ungdomsledartjänst i Kronoby kommun. För att kartlägga hur ungdomarna vill att kommunikationen och samarbetet med ungdomsledaren skall ske har vi använt oss av en kvantitativ enkätundersökning. För att få en konkret bild på hur ungdomsverksamheten kan se ut i en kommun har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ forskning i form av temaintervju, som vi gjorde med ungdomsarbetare i kommunerna i närregionen.
I arbetets teoretiska del behandlar vi ungdomsarbete överlag, delaktighet, förebyggande och främjande arbete och kommunikation. Resultatet av teorin och undersökningarna är en handbok som skall fungera som ett stöd för en nyanställd ungdomsledare i Kronoby kommun. This thesis is about the youth leader’s role in municipal youth activities. With the new Youth Act, which entered into force in 2017, the municipalities are required to invest more in youth activities. The municipality of Kronoby, which is our task giver, wishes to hire a youth leader in the future.
The purpose of this thesis is to do preparatory work for a youth leader position in the municipality of Kronoby. In order to look into how young people want to communicate and work with the youth leader, we have used a quantitative survey. To get a picture of how youth work is fulfilled in a municipality, we have used a qualitative research in form of a theme interview, which we did with youth workers in the nearby region.
In the theoretical part of the thesis we deal with youth work in general, participation, preventive and promotive work, and communication. The result of the theory and the researches is summarized in a manual that will act as a supporting tool for a newly employed youth leader in the municipality of Kronoby.
