Videon hyödyntäminen työhön perehdyttämisessä : Kakolanmäen jätevedenpuhdistamon perehdytysvideo ulkopuolisten urakoitsijoiden perehdyttäjänä

Abstract

Opinnäytetyössä tarkastelen videon hyödyntämistä ulkopuolisten urakoitsijoiden perehdyttämisessä. Opinnäytetyö koostuu tuoteosasta ja kirjallisesta osasta.

Tuoteosa on ulkopuolisten urakoitsijoiden perehdytysvideo Turun seudun puhdistamo Oy:n hallinnoimille Kakolanmäen jätevedenpuhdistamolle ja pumppaamoille. Videon tarkoituksena on korvata aiemmin suullisesti annettu perehdytys ja mahdollistaa perehdytyksen suorittamisen etänä muualta, kuin Kakolanmäen jätevedenpuhdistamolta.

Video sisältää lyhyen yritysesittelyn, puhdistusprosessin esittelyn, opastuksen luolastossa työskentelyyn, sekä työohje- ja turvallisuusmääräysosion. Video on kuvattu kokonaisuudessaan Kakolanmäen jätevedenpuhdistamolla. Videon päälle on spiikattu ääniraita, joka sisältää perehdytyksessä tarvittavat tiedot. Yhdessä ne luovat hyvän oppimistavan sekä toimivat selkeänä informaationlähteenä perehdytyksessä. Kirjallisessa osassa käsittelen itse perehdyttämistä sekä perehdytysvideon tekemistä.

Perehdytyksen siirtäminen suullisesta perehdytyksestä videolle tuo mukanaan useita hyötyjä. Hyvin käsikirjoitettu ja toteutettu video mahdollistaa oppimisen kolmella eri osa-alueella samanaikaisesti. Perehdytys on myös varmasti jokaiselle perehdytettävälle kerta toisensa jälkeen samanlainen. Videon etuna on myös sen kertaluonteinen poistettavuus yrityksen budjetista.

Johtopäätöksenä totean videon olevan monin tavoin perinteistä perehdytystä parempi, mutta vaativan myös tekijältä osaamista ja asiaan perehtymistä.

In my bachelor’s thesis I study the benefits of using video in the onboarding video for contractors. The thesis constructs from a product part and a written part.

The product part is an orientation video for contractors working in Kakolanmäki wastewater treatment plant and its pumping stations which are maintained by Turun seudun puhdistamo oy. The video will replace the verbal induction and gives the possibility of watching the video somewhere else than in the sewage treatment plant.

The video consists of short company presentation, presentation of the purifying process, guidance to working in the cavern and guidance of every day working and safety issues. The video is filmed entirely in the wastewater treatment plant. A spoken audio track gives all the necessary information in help with the video. Together they form a good way of learning and give a clear source of information in the induction.

In the written part I process the induction itself and making the induction video.

Making the induction to a video form gives a company many useful gains. With a good video and well thought out screenwriting a contractor can learn in three different ways from one video at once. In a video the onboarding is the same to all contractors every time. And the video is cost effective as it does cost money only once.

In conclusions I note that a video in contractor onboarding is in many ways better than the traditional way of pedagogy but does consider more from the person making the video.
