Samarbetet mellan doulan och barnmorskan – barnmorskans erfarenhet : en artikel

Abstract

Fyra barnmorskor från Österbotten har gett sina åsikter i form av en enkät. I resultatet framkom bland annat att barnmorskorna tyckte att samarbetet löpt ganska bra så länge doulan visste sin roll, och att doulorna oftast lugnade föderskan och hade positiv inverkan på förlossningen. Studien är en kvalitativ enkätstudie och ett utvecklingsarbete som spinner vidare på ämnet doulans och barnmorskans samarbete. I examensarbetet gjordes en intervjustudie om samarbetet ur doulans perspektiv. Denna gång är barnmorskans syn på samarbetet i fokus. Syftet med studien är att få en inblick i barnmorskans erfarenhet av att samarbeta med doulor och sedan jämföra svaren med doulornas erfarenhet.

Four midwives from Ostrobothnia have given their opinions in the form of a questionnaire. According to the results the midwives felt that the collaboration has been good as long as the doulas know their role, and that the doulas often have a calming and positive effect on the birth. The study is a qualitative questionnaire survey and a development study about the subject doula and the midwifes collaboration. In the Bachelor’s thesis, an interview study was made about the collaboration from the doulas point of view. This time it’s the midwives’ point of view of the collaboration that is in focus. The aim of this study is to get an insight in the midwives’ experience of the collaboration with doulas and then to compare the results with the doulas’ experience.
