Tuottajina Haaveena tangokruunu -dokumenttielokuvassa

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme on kaksiosainen ja siihen kuuluu dokumenttielokuva Haaveena tangokruunu sekä kirjallinen osio, joka on pääasiassa raportti kyseisestä tuotannosta. Erityisesti pohdimme omaa tuottajan rooliamme tuotannossa.

Haaveena tangokruunu -dokumenttielokuva on kahden finalistin, Kaija Lustilan ja Marko Maunukselan, kertomus vuoden 2009 Tangolaulukilpailun kulusta ja suurista tunteista sen aikana. Dokumenttielokuva koostuu heidän haastatteluistaan ja niitä siivittää Tangomarkkinoilta kuvattu materiaali.

Lisäksi kirjallinen työ käsittelee lyhyesti dokumenttielokuvaa ja dokumenttielokuvan tuotantoa, sekä tuottajan roolia niissä. Kertaamme lyhyesti kaksi dokumentin lajityyppiä, jotka olennaisesti liittyvät tekemäämme dokumenttielokuvaan.

Tavoitteenamme oli tuottajina tehdä tuotanto mahdollisimman hyvin alusta loppuun saakka. Tässä kirjallisessa työssä kerromme miten tuotanto eteni ja miten se muuttui, sekä mitä ongelmia koimme sen aikana.

The present thesis is divided into two parts. The first is a documentary film called Haaveena tangokruunu and the second is a written section, which is the report from the production of the documentary film. The written report focuses on our role as the producers of the documentary film.

Haaveena tangokruunu documentary film is a story of two finalists, Kaija Lustila and Marko Maunuksela, who took part in the Tango song contest in 2009. In the documentary film, Lustila and Maunuksela tell how the competition went and about their emotions during the competition. The documentary film consists of the competitor's interviews and video material from the competition.

The written work also studies documentary film and production in general, and the producer’s role in them. We briefly introduce the two documentary film genres which are closely related to our documentary film.

Our goal as producers of the documentary film was to produce the film with the best possible way from the beginning till the end. In this written work, we will tell you how the production progressed, how it changed and what problems we experienced during it.
