The reason for the writing of this thesis is to compare two different ways of quality control – optical and tactile coordinate measurement machines. To find out their advantages and disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses, to compare accuracy and work opportunities with a scanned material. To answer the question – how using of 3D-Scanner in a production environment can improve the quality of machined products. To define if utilising of 3D-Scanner can improve the quality of casted and welded parts. To research if a tactile coordinate measurement machine can be replaced by an optical CMM in the sphere of quality control.
